I wanted to show off my new radio and share my thoughts on it.
This radio which is extremely tiny, almost half the size of my Baofeng UV-5R, still packs a punch in usability and features.
Here is a photo of my Baofeng UV-5R Mini
This radio that cost me $15 not only features a great scanning tool, excellent dual watch, airband, and 5 watts of power but can also fit in my shirt pocket with ease.
While I understand that a base station is the end goal I do find that radios grow somewhat cumbersome in their size and power draw. And I have found this radio has become my most used in a very short while.
If anyone else was thinking of getting this radio I can recommend it. I would probably put a different antenna on, the stock one seems middling at best.
